SUITABLE FOR: BUYERS
Public procurement has, for many years, been based on a set of principles, defined in the EC Directives and embedded in the UK regulations.
These principles didn’t always meet the need of buyers and indeed, on some occasions, caused confusion in applying the regulations.
The Government’s ‘Transforming Public Procurement’ Green Paper proposes a new set of principles aligned to HM Treasury’s Managing Public Money and this webinar looks at how the changes could help buyers get better outcomes from procurement by meeting the procurement need more easily.

SUITABLE FOR: SUPPLIERS
This webinar will look at the proposal to align the principles applied to procurement more easily with the needs of the market, and to the benefit of contractors.
One key principle is for the decision making by authorities to be impartial and avoiding conflicts of interest, which will ensure fairer treatment of suppliers.
There will also require to be transparency, no discrimination and consideration of the public good, including economic, social, environmental and ethical needs.
We will consider what this means for contractors and identify some of the things that they should consider now, to prepare for the future.
- Fair treatment of suppliers
